BACKGROUND, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A true industry expert, Brockwell has lived in the Tampa Bay area and worked  in the Mortgage/Real Estate Industry for more than two decades.  She attended college at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia, where she graduated with highest honors at the top of her class. Brockwell spent an additional three years in graduate school continuing her studies in the areas of Psychology, Communication Skills and Ethics. She spent more than a decade in Sydney where, in addition to her academic position at UNSW, she worked as a Clinical Psychologist and Mediation Specialist. She taught subjects that included Psychology, Statistics and Communication Skills. Much of her private practice involved mediation work, honing a skill set that has proven invaluable in the real estate industry.   


Brockwell chose to settle in Pinellas County more than twenty years ago, where she and her husband have been raising their three children. As a member of various school and charitable organizations, she knows the Tampa Bay area as well as any.  Her experience and diverse expertise truly makes Brockwell a valuable resource to buyers and sellers alike.  Moreover, she genuinely understands how significant real estate transactions are to her clients -- and she cares --  making her a truly passionate, as well as extremely competent, advocate.

 Kat Shoemaker-Burke is a lifetime resident of Pinellas County. She is deeply knowledgeable of the Pinellas County landscape. With 3 sons attending local elementary and middle schools, she is aware of the importance of school zones to parents.  She has volunteered throughout the community with school PTA, food banks, local charities and pet rescues. Kevin Ryan was born and raised in the Midwest (Ohio), the oldest of 4 siblings and the only boy. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Following college, Kevin moved to the Southwest (Southern California) where he began his 30-year career in sales, was promoted to the Northeast (New England) and eventually promoted back to the Midwest (Illinois), where he and his wife Cindy (Indiana) raised 4 boys and several chocolate labs. They lived on a lake in Wisconsin and enjoyed all the activities that the 4 seasons can bring (fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling etc.). As a warm get-away they purchased a condo on Belleair Beach which the family has dearly enjoyed for the past 20 years. Throughout Kevin's sales career, he worked for such companies as Stanley Black & Decker, Newell Rubbermaid, Milwaukee Electric Tool and Generac Power Systems. This successful career eventually led him to the Southeast (Largo, Florida) where his real estate career began. In his spare time, he enjoys family and friends, the outdoors, boating on the inter-coastal and competitive sports. He has a real passion for success while delivering the desired results which is reflected in his strong work ethic. Kevin's qualifications are more than competitive and his performance record is exceptional. A recent graduate of Yale University, Tristan Brockwell was born and raised in Largo, Florida.  His education is certainly diverse, but one of his great loves is mathematics/statistics, making him a tremendous addition to the team. He puts his analytical skills to good use in the area of Social Media, determining the best campaign strategy for a property sale, given the demographics of likely clients.  


He is also able to deliver tremendously valuable analyses of valuation in a market that is hard to keep up with.  Brockwell is also a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator, helping clients with financing and reviewing financed offers for The Brockwell Group listings. Whether he is analyzing market trends, reviewing property analyses  determining marketing strategies, or preparing financial spreadsheets, his input to the Brockwell Group and our clients is priceless.
